National heart month

February is known for Valentine’s Day but it is also National Heart Month.

The British Heart Foundation is urging us all to contact our MP after a recent survey they carried out showed that air pollution is damaging our health.

We all start off with good intentions at the start of the year watching our diets and working out more but let’s face it, by February we’re beginning to lose sight of those New Year goals already.

People go all-in when all they need to do is make small changes to their lifestyle to have an overall impact.

It really helps if you have a partner or work out buddy to help you and give that extra support you need when making changes.

The British Heart Foundation is calling on people to give up chocolate in March to help fund life-saving research.

As you may know chocolate is my thing.  I like chocolate (a lot) and will have it in some form every day as my 20% of the 80/20 rule.

I wasn’t a candidate for dry January as I don’t drink, purely because I don’t like it, so that wouldn’t have been a challenge for me.  However, giving up chocolate for a month would certainly be a whole different ball game!

So that’s what I’m going to do.

Who would like to join me and raise money for some lifesaving research and have a beneficial impact on our own health too?

We can support each other and share thoughts, feelings and alternative eats in our What’s App group as we embark on this challenge.

Message me if you’d like to take up this challenge and I’ll add you to our support group.

Donations will be very welcome and I’ll have a penny collecting jar in the studio throughout March.

Priority enrollment for courses starting the week beginning 24th February will close today.  If you haven’t already booked please do by 10pm tonight to guarantee your space.

The Pure Core workout will land with beginners classes, improvers will have fun with the foam roller and our mixed ability classes will be working on non-equipment original Pilates exercises, both standing and lying.

I have detailed classes next week below as it’s half term.  If it’s not your regular class, please message me to book as spaces are limited.

Have a great weekend
