What do YOU want?

Building the new

How often have you lamented about what you didn’t want?

Did it ever bring you what you really wanted?

Fighting the negative is a total waste of time if you really want to make changes in your life.  The more you dwell on what you don’t want,  the more of it you create.  The things about yourself of your life that you have always disliked are probably still with you.

What you put your attention on grows and becomes permanent in your life.  Move away from the negative, and put your attention on what it is you really do want be or have.

Continually make positive statements about how you want your life to be.

However, there is one point that is very important in this; Always make your statement in the PRESENT TENSE, such as ‘I am’ or ‘I have.’

Your subconscious mind is such an obedient servant that if you declare in the future tense, ‘I want’ or ‘I will have,’ then that is where that idea will always stay – just out of reach in the future.

What positive statements are you now going to make to yourself?

”Always an option”

A phrase that you are very familiar with if you come to class.

And it’s so true.

There is always away you can do something, whatever it is.

You may need be able to complete your ‘task’ the conventional way, but there will be a way, you just need to think outside the box a little (or a lot).

I teach RPM and also train for my own fitness in the cycling studio at the Oasis.  As soon as leisure centre’s were closed it put an end to that.

As well as my fitness taking a dive, I was also concerned about the effect the lack of cycling would have on my hip as it really helps with the issues I have.

The obvious answer would be ‘get out on your bike’, which would have worked apart from one small issue – I don’t have a bike!!!

So, what’s my option?

My sister’s old bike (which she left on her drive for me to collect on my way to the weekly trip to Aldi), a Turbo Trainer via Halfords home delivery service and my music player and headphones.

I’ve now created my own little ‘cycling studio’ on mum’s patio!  It’s great as I can go out and ‘cycle’ in any weather as it’s under a canopy, keep my fitness levels up and most of all keep my hip moving and pain free!

Still yet to get out on the road as I don’t have a helmet, but one step at a time…..

Stay safe and well
