Sleep more to lose weight

Sleep is crucial to controlling cortisol levels

Insulin and cortisol are like the ugly sisters – they conspire together to fix fat in the cells and keep it there.

So by adjusting your food intake to lower insulin levels, you also need to adjust stress and get more sleep to reduce cortisol levels.

Sleep is a time that the body repairs itself, and bringing down cortisol is part of this repair.

Get cortisol down to a normal level where it is not elevated by stress, and fat burning becomes much more realistic.

Get to bed by 10.15, practice deep breathing or meditation and make sure you have time to exercise during the day to improve quality of sleep.
